At the end of August 2006, in Prague, the European Confederations meeting signified an end to a year of hard work organization and preparation with the CAFIM members confirming their will and support to promote the EEX label and establishing a Consortium EEX. If the project should have any meaning it is to be recognised not only in the European market but also throughout the world.

Červený) and 1946 (the brand Amati). is a musical instruments trade company (established in 1992) and recently also manufacturer of bowed string instruments which are, with an exception of ebony parts, 100% made in Slovenia (EU). Besides the distribution of a number of brands the company owes well-known retail store Paganini located near Ljubljana which offers a wide range of musical instruments and specialized repair shops for wind and string instruments.

PETROF, spol. s r. o.
The PETROF company is currently the biggest European producer of acoustic pianos. It is a truly Czech family company that has been operating in Hradec Králové since 1864. The company is headed by Mgr. Zuzana Ceralová Petrofová, a representative of the fifth generation of the Petrof family. A lot has happened since 1864 when Antonín Petrof built his first piano. The main values on which the company has built its reputation, however, remain the same. To this day people appreciate the careful manufacturing of the instruments, which stand out for their rounded romantic tone, excellent surface finish, and timeless construction. The PETROF company is considered the main innovator in this industry, primarily thanks to the work of the experts in the Technology centre, in collaboration with the Research and Development department. In 2007 the company received the European Excellence certificate (EEX) which guarantees the European origin of the materials used and the premium quality of the products. The PETROF company distributes its upright and grand pianos to 65 countries in 5 continents.

Strunal Schönbach s.r.o.
Strunal Schönbach is a traditional producer of string musical instruments, whose craftsmanship dates back more than three centuries. The factory is located in the picturesque town of Luby, originally called Schönbach, in the western part of the Czech Republic, but its reputation goes far beyond the borders.
Strunal Schönbach has been offering traditional hand-made stringed instruments from the best resonance wood for many decades. Its production consists of violins, violas, violoncellos, double basses and guitars. Professional musicians regularly test and play the instruments, making sure they satisfy all of the customer's needs - from beginners and intermediate students, to artists on a professional level.
Thanks to careful approach, these instruments are of premium quality and sound. This company is one of the most significant ambassadors of Czech handcraft and precious work.

Rastislav Žumár
Rastislav Žumár was born in Martin, Slovakia in 1983 and grew up in a musical environment in Prague, Czech Republic. After graduating from the traditional lutherie school of the Czech Republic in 2003 he began to build his first instruments in Florence, Italy under the supervision of the famous luthier John Terry. Manufacturing high-quality instruments he quickly established his reputation and earned himself an entry in the "Encyclopedia of violin makers in Italy" by Gualtiero Nicolini published in 2008.
In 2009 he started his own workshop in Prague and continued to successfully build new instruments inspired by the classic designs of Tuscany, Cremonese and Venetian schools. Over the years more than 40 instruments have passed his hands which today are played by artists in the USA, Italy, Japan, Denmark, Spain, Taiwan, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
